Hello Katie I am so sorry that you have been subjected to some harsh treatment just because you made the choice to have an abortion. I and many other people are concerned that you have faced cruelty when you needed care and compassion. I am aware that the police have taken action, and you are facing a criminal trial. Having gone through an abortion, I know it’s not easy. It’s not a pleasant choice. Abortion must be treated compassionately and decriminalized. I’m so sorry you are facing this. It’s wrong. You are in my thoughts.

Dear Katie* I just wanted to say how sorry I was hear about what you are going through and how you have been treated. It’s only in recent years that I have come to understand the kinds of issues facing women in some of our institutions when they are at their most vulnerable. Women in these situations should be treated with care and compassion and not subjected to what I consider to be institutional abuse.
