No one other than the woman involved in what is always a most difficult and painful situation. should have any right to decide if this woman does or not want to be a parent (or be a parent again). This is more than a healthcare issue – pregnancy is not the most important aspect of such a plight. Pregnancy is for none months. Motherhood is for life. Wholeheartedly with you, Katie! No-one should have a say over what happens within your body except YOU. This sentence is unjust and misogynistic. Women’s bodies are not baby carriers – we all have a right to bodily autonomy. We support you at this awful time and will not cease to campaign until abortion is completely decriminalised and you are free. Take heart!

I am so sorry you are facing this unnecessary trial. This must be such a difficult time for you. Whatever happens with the trial, there are lots of people who won’t be judging you at all for this. We understand that abortion is an incredibly personal decision for the person/people involved and legal punishment is never the right solution.

Dear Katie, I’m so sorry that the NHS Midwife treated you this way, and now the court system is forcing you to stand trial for choosing what to do with your own body, your own dignity and you right to live. This should not be happening to you and makes me so angry on your behalf and for all women subjected to this humiliating, degrading and disrespectful system. Standing with you all the way to your victory and for you to have a judge who puts humanity and rights of women first.
