Since 2020, seven Premier League clubs have had players or senior staff investigated by police for sexual offences. One of those investigations — involving a current Premier League footballer — is still ongoing. The Metropolitan Police have now passed a full file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service for a charging decision.

Despite this, there are credible reports that the player could be offered a contract extension ahead of the summer by their respective club.

The silence from clubs — including Arsenal — is deafening. But we are Arsenal Supporters Against Sexual Violence, and we have been anything but silent.

Over 9,000 of us have signed an open letter demanding transparency from the club, meaningful support for victims, and a clear commitment to suspending players under investigation for serious offences. Fans have protested at almost every home game outside the Emirates, spoken out online, and taken this conversation into national newspaper publications. Still, the club has offered no comment.

Now, we need your help. The more of us that demand action from the club, the harder it is for them to remain silent.

1.⁠ Transparency about how the club handles players and staff under investigations of sexual violence;

2.⁠ ⁠Temporary suspension of any player under investigation for sexual offences; and

3.⁠ ⁠Support for victims, both inside and outside the footballing world.
