# Level Up

> Level Up is a UK feminist campaigning organisation working to advance reproductive justice, abortion decriminalisation, and freedom from systemic violence. Founded in 2018, based in London.

Level Up creates digital tools and campaigns that interrupt cultural moments to fight for gender justice. We work in campaign coalitions and gather with community through monthly workshops. Our movement includes feminists from a range of backgrounds and all genders, centring the voices of people who experience gender injustice: women, gender-nonconforming and trans people.

- [Abortion is Healthcare](https://welevelup.org/active-campaigns/abortion-is-healthcare): Campaign for full decriminalisation of abortion in England and Wales. Abortion is still governed by the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 — a Victorian law. 6,100+ signatures.
- [Stop Sending Pregnant Women to Prison](https://welevelup.org/active-campaigns/pregnancy-in-prison): Campaign to end the imprisonment of pregnant women and new mothers. 196 pregnant women were in prison in 2024/25. 42 babies were born in prison. 13,100+ signatures.
- [Dignity for Dead Women](https://welevelup.org/active-campaigns/media-guidelines-domestic-abuse): Campaign for dignified, accurate media coverage of fatal domestic abuse. A woman is murdered by her partner or ex every 3 days in the UK. Level Up produced the UK's first media guidelines on reporting domestic abuse deaths. 29,200+ signatures.

- [Sexual Violence in Football](https://welevelup.org/active-campaigns/sexual-violence-in-football): Campaign demanding the Premier League and FA enforce zero tolerance of sexual violence. Level Up flew a plane banner over a football match. 4,300+ signatures.
- [Finish Holloway Women's Centre](https://welevelup.org/active-campaigns/islington-council-finish-holloway-womens-centre): Campaign for Islington Council to open the completed but empty Holloway Women's Centre, delivering vital support for women facing trauma, violence, poverty and homelessness. 1,964+ signatures.
