Category: solidarity

Dear Katie Just to let you know that you are not forgotten and that we are not only standing with you in solidarity, we are still campaigning for you. You did the right thing and should not be punished for something you’re legally entitled to. Level Up and women, including me, all over Britain sends you love and best wishes for an end to this so you can carry on with your life. All the very best, K C x

You are not a criminal and do not deserve to be treated as such. We will fight for you all the way through this, you are not alone!

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. I work front line in the NHS and am appalled how you’ve been reported for accessing fundamental healthcare. I hope you can stay strong, and know that there are so many of us out here rooting for you – both for you personally, and also for representing us as women who could easily be in the same situation.

This is such an unbelievably archaic point of view. It is a woman’s right to choose what happens to her body. I feel ashamed that a midwife felt they had a superior attitude and had to report this situation, that person does not deserve to be a midwife -they are the one who should be on trial.

I could believe this happened in parts of the USA but Great Britain no and I don’t know why it hasn’t been reported more widely. There are far too many busy bodies who try and force their (often religious) views on others (usually women). This will resort in a waste of public money that could far better be spent on other things to say nothing of the stress and disruption of your life. I wish you all the best and and hope the trial goes well for you

In love and support. Please know you are not alone.

Sending you an absolutely enormous amount of strength, support and love. You have done only what is right for you, and that is an act of courage and self love that should be your fundamental human right. I can’t imagine the pain you must be suffering on account of this outrageous miscarriage of justice, but know that women everywhere stand with you and stand for you. Don’t lose hope, we’re all here for you.

Your body is your own and nobody has the right to tell you what to do with it. I am so sorry for what this inhumane system has put you through. You are so unbelievably brave in the face of such unbelievable injustice. Please know that there are so many people sending you love and solidarity and standing by your side.

I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through, I am supporting Level Up in the hope it can help you and any other person going through such a horrible situation. I’m thinking about you and hoping that the right decision is made for your trail. Sending love x

Dear Katie, I do hope common sense and kindness prevail and your indictment is simply withdrawn. We must all join together to get this outdated law removed from the Statute Book. Hopefully you can take some comfort that so many women support you and feel for you. Dr Ruth Barker
